Phew, this is becoming much more of a challenge than I had initially thought. But, the weekends almost upon us.
Since it’s just another weekday, everything was pretty much the same as yesterday. I got up and headed off to work. One thing which has been on my mind for the past few days since beginning this challenge, I have yet to pluck up the confidence to weight myself. Although this challenge isn’t all around just losing weight, but encouraging a healthier outlook on the way I live my life. Just something that’s been on my mind is a failing, as for the past few weeks this is something which I’ve been putting my all into.
Eventually, I’ll pluck up the confidence to hop on the scales and get this all wrote down. For the time being, it’s going to be a little bit of a delay.
After I’d finished my shift, I ended up going to the gym. Initially, I wanted to have a little bit of a light run or a swim. Instead, we ended up staying for just over an hour, doing running, stairs and elliptical. Focusing primarily on cardio before heading to the dreaded weight section. Here I did a couple of reps on various leg machines.
On the way home from the gym, I stopped by Morrisons. If you follow me on Instagram you’ll have seen in the health and beauty aisle, they were completely sold out of all anti-bacterial hand soap and sanitiser. Honestly, I understand we need to take the coronavirus as a slight threat, keeping clean and watching over those who it could seriously affect. But, at the same time, it’s becoming so out of hand.
I’ve been personally avoiding touching my face and anything around me which may have certain levels of bacteria. What’re everyone else’s thoughts? What measures have you been putting in place to keep safe?
Something which seriously has been affecting me over the past few weeks is my asthma. After not needing an inhaler since I was 13, this has been a big change. We aren’t quite sure what’s brought it all back on, but just before the Christmas period, I found it a challenge daily to walk up the hill to work. Till last week, it all became way too much.
The other morning, I went and picked up my first prescription in 7 years. It’s changed everything, I’m almost annoyed that it’s got to the point where it’s returned but at the same time it’s like having a little bottle of relief.
I think I’d like to add this to my list of things I’d like to get on top of!
After I returned from the gym I ended up having a little self pamper night, normally I’ll leave this to Sunday nights. But I needed a bit of me time!
Tomorrow, I have a little bit of a naughty night planned. Heading out to the town after work with some friends where hopefully, fingers crossed I will not drink too much.
