We’re currently living in strange times, as we experience being stuck indoors to promote social distancing guidance – people around the globe are taking to new and interesting activities to keep themselves entertained. Although we love and salute these ideas I want to encourage you to keep productive during this pandemic. I’ve pulled together my top ideas to help you get on with living your best life.
Focus on your goals – Now’s a great time to dust off your bucket list, think deeply about your ambitions and what you want to accomplish within the next 5-10 years. Set yourself small, achievable targets all working towards that final goal. Here’s a great tip – using sticky notes write down some of your targets and keep them on a fridge or in a location that you find yourself often. Remind yourself of what you can achieve, but most importantly rewarding yourself along the way.

Declutter & Donate – It’s also a really good idea to finally sort out that box in the attic you’ve not thought about for the past year. Remember that your home is to be lived in, not used as a storage unit. You need to be cut-throat about your decisions if you don’t use it ‘chuck’ it. If you still find yourself struggling, how about ringing a local charity and see if there’s anything specific they need? Small steps are better than no steps at all.
Start your own business – We’ve all been there, sat having a nice dinner and suddenly you’re all talking about the idea to open your own company, but then never following through. So, what’s stopping you from doing so now? If it’s a reachable goal, it’s a great place to start. You might have noticed the growing demand online for tie-dye clothing. A product that’s simple and easy to create from your garden, better yet they have successful mark-ups on profit.
Discover a new hobby – Everyone needs some downtime, but rather than spending that time cooped up behind your phone. Why not move into the vast world of yoga or baking. Heck, why not even try finding an online course you’ve always wanted to do. It’s time to nurture your mind, helping it grow. After all, you might come away from this a mentally stronger person ready for whatever life throws your way.
Sort out your finances – More than ever, sitting down an investing some time into your finances wouldn’t go a miss. As some markets around the world struggle to withstand a falling economic climate, it would be a good time to make sure you’re in a strong position. It may seem like a challenge when sitting face to face with the truth, but by setting yourself small goals, you will be able to give yourself a big pat on the back six months from now.
